The Best Blender: Vitamix 780

The Best Blender: Vitamix 780

Over the past six months I’ve been trying to eat healthier. As you know it is harder to prepare healthy meals especially when you are busy. So I took my chance and tried my hand with blended meals. To start out, I have gotten a cheap blender to make my smoothie, green juice, acai bowls, and occasionally milkshakes. Oddly, the machine will only last for one month since the blender will start to overheat and sometimes smoke can be seen. I’m not exactly sure as to why the machine breaks so easily (maybe because of the price or quality) but I follow the instructions carefully for the blender, but still no luck. However, I recently met a group of people from my soulcycle class last week and they recommended me to get a Vitamix.

In search for one, I ended up purchasing the new model Vitamix 780 and it is very easy to use. Apparently, this is the first Vitamix blender that has a LED touchscreen control panel. When I took it out of the box it looked very modern and professional. The Vitamix 780 has 5 different settings which are Smoothie, Frozen Dessert, Soup, and Puree, plus the Pulse feature. It also has the Clean button where the machine can actually self-clean when this setting is activated. The blender has 10 different speed settings which the blade can go as fast as 270 mph (2.2 horsepower). It comes with a 64-oz low profile container which is big enough to serve a whole entire family and at the same time it is less bulky which would not take a lot of space in the kitchen. Overall, I love this blender since it not only makes juices, smoothies, and acai bowls but it can also make healthy soups for a meal. You just need to cut the ingredients and then put in the blender and the machine will do everything for you. Furthermore, the consistency and texture of the final product is absolutely perfect. While using the blender, I noticed that it was less noisy than my previous cheap blenders which surprised me since I have always associated powerful machines with being noisey. Also the clean up is super easy since there are no separate parts to dismantle and again it is self-cleaning which is a huge bonus. The only thing that I do not like about this product is that it is not dishwasher friendly.

Regardless, the blender comes with a 7-year warranty which is very reassuring since if the blender ever breaks down within those years I can easily return the product to Vitamix and have it replaced or repaired at no cost.  The company will also even pay for shipping (both ways) which is highly convenient. Given these points, I have a feeling that this machine will last me for quite some time and highly recommend it to anyone who is look for a blender. I just wish I had purchased the Vitamix 780 sooner…
