How to Clean a Ceramic Frying Pan

Ceramic frying pans are one of the most popular types of cookware because:

  • It is nonstick
  • It is nonreactive-- it won’t contaminate food with chemicals
  • It uses less oil
  • Cooks evenly
  • Easy clean up

Even though ceramic pans are easy to clean up, there is a certain way they should be clean.

1. First and foremost, you should wait until the frying pan has cool down before cleaning.
2. Hand wash your cookware instead of using the dishwasher.
3. Use a soft sponge or dishcloth with warm soapy water to clean the frying pan.
4. If food was burnt from the pan, soak it in hot water for 30 minutes before washing.
5. Rinse under warm water and towel dry it completely before storing.
6. Do NOT use steel wool, nylon scrubbing pads or any corrosive cleaning products.

Deep Cleaning:

To remove stains and to keep the beautiful appearance of the ceramic pan, you must periodically perform this deep cleaning technique.

  1. Immerse the pan into a hot soapy water and wash with sponge
  2. Pour some (amount that you desire)  baking soda in the desired area of the pan and let it sit there for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. With a plastic dish brush, lightly scrub the pain in circles until the stain is removed
  4. Rinse with warm water
  5. Towel dry the pan
